The facade for this residence was a vision of Hector Magnus from Architects Magnus in San Diego, CA. However, neither the architect nor the builder could figure out how to make this vision a reality, so they called upon Chrissie to design and build the complicated structure. The facade incorporates the swinging garage doors, entrance gate and side gates into a single textured wrap. The ipe slats are curved and intertwine to create a complex pattern. The garage doors and entrance gate are powered by hydraulic openers and monitored by a central control system. Additional projects done on the residence include the staircase, railings and fireplace.
